Regulating the Export of Gold & Silver. A law of Sept 5 (No. 2376) had outlawed the exportation of any "matières d'or ou d'argent monnoyées ou non, des vaisselles d'or ou d'argent, & des vase d'or ou d'argent servant au culte" - the latter clearly aimed at church property. This law, two weeks later, exempts from the prohibition the recent handiwork of existing craftsmen. The second law commands the printer "hitherto ROYAL", to send all copies of laws passed by the Assembly for the months of Julyt and August, and to continue to send them regularly and without interruption. Not in Goldsmith (see, however #15156 for the law of September 5).

In-4° broché en état de parution, en feuilles, à grandes marges, non rognées, 8 pages - Tarif officiel mis en place dans le cadre de la "contribution patriotique" d'octobre 1789 : les citoyens possédant plus de 400 livres de revenus devaient en verser le quart (déduction faite de différe…ntes charges), ainsi que 2,5% de l'argenterie, des bijoux d'or et d'argent, et de l'or ou de l'argent qu'ils possédaient. Les ouvriers et les journaliers en furent dispensés, comme ceux dont les revenus étaient inférieurs, mais l'État ne refusait évidemment pas leur contribution volontaire ! Au plan national, cet impôt prétendument "volontaire" se révéla pourtant un échec, avec la récolte d'à peine un million de livres. Cet "emprunt" devait être remboursé par l'État lorsque la situation serait redevenue meilleure. Cela ne fut évidemment jamais le cas, comme toujours en France .
