The Wanchos in Transition is the story of one of the most primitive tribes the Wanchos of Arunachal Pradesh in the North East part of India. They live in the Tirap district of the state. While the world took gigantic steps in the field of science and technology this part of the world remained quite unaware of it and kept up their life style. The world did not know them fully and they did not know the world and seemed to have not cared about it. It was towards the end of the fourth quarter of the 20 century that the need for a change was felt among them. Thomas Vattoth SDB lived with them for a decade and recorded his first hand experience. The book brings out the transition of the Wanchos to what they are today. 310 pp.
