Hardcover book has blue cloth-covered boards & a colorful front paper pastedown with faded gilt lettering & design to front, black letters to spine. Condition is Fair-Poor due to water damage, which has stained & spotted good portion of the lower extremities; the paper pastedown is unblemished, as are the majority of the lovely illustrations within, though faint dampstains ascend up to about mid-way on nearly all pages. Board edges are lightly rubbed and yellowing; spine is sun-yellowed; and there are small soiling patches on the spine and the lower board. Non-author holiday gift inscription is penned on the ffep. The remaining, profusely illustrated contents are clean. Small chip in the corner of the ffep; starter after the ffep; first 16 pages are somewhat shaken. In other respect this is very nice copy. NOT an ex-library copy!
