Boards have lightly rubbed corners and edges, the spine is sunned, and the cover illustration has some very light rubbing. The ffep has a penciled Christmas 1926 non-author gift inscription and penned collector notes (from 1980) by a prior owner. Includes a frontispiece and seven additional color illustrations, which along with the title/publication page, are on paper with considerably less age-tanning than the text pages. Remaining contents, 196 pp. + prefatory materials, are somewhat age tanned and have some light foxing, but are otherwise mark free, fully legible, and securely bound. The pages' edges have some dust staining and the bottom edge has a small reddish stain. NOT an ex-library copy.
