A VG 8vo hardcover in NO dust jacket (if issued). Blue cloth with black lettering and decoration, and on the upper board, a pasted color illustration. Boards have lightly rubbed corners and edges, the spine is sunned, and the cover illustration has some very light rubbing. The ffep has a penciled Christmas 1926 non-author gift inscription and penned collector notes (from 1980) by a prior owner. Includes a frontispiece and seven additional color illustrations, which along with the title/publication page, are on paper with considerably less age-tanning than the text pages. Remaining contents, 196 pp. + prefatory materials, are somewhat age tanned and have some light foxing, but are otherwise mark free, fully legible, and securely bound. The pages' edges have some dust staining and the bottom edge has a small reddish stain. NOT an ex-library copy.

Black cloth binding with Art Noveau-inspired red and yellow lettering and sabretooth tiger design by the great Will Bradley, gilt top edge. Binding is firm and fully intact; moderate amount of wear to edges of boards, a few small pen-head indentations in spine; titling/design remains bright and bold. A very presentable copy.
