Ersttagsbrief 100th anniversary Red Cross mit Ersttags-Stempel und Original Briefmarke, von Vint Cerf mit schwarzem Edding handsigniert /// Autogramm Autograph signiert signed signee /// Vinton Gray ?Vint? Cerf (* 23. /// Standort Wimregal GAD-30.380 WITHIN THE EU: shipping only to GERMANY and AUSTRIA due to the new EPR regulations. Vinton Cerf was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1943. He received his BA in mathematics from Stanford University (1965) and his MS (1970) and PhD (1972) from UCLA. After graduation, Cerf became an assistant professor at Stanford University, where he co-developed the TCP/IP protocol suite with colleague Bob Kahn. This set of communication standards for data would become the backbone of the Internet. From 1976 to 1982, Cerf was a program manager with the US Department of Defense's Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he fostered development of Internet-related packet data and security technologies based on TCP/IP. In the late 1980s, when the Internet began a transition to the commercial sector, Cerf moved to MCI Communications, where he led development of the first commercial email system (MCI Mail) connected to the Internet. In 1992, Cerf founded the Internet Society and served as its president for three years. He also served on the board of ICANN from 1999 to 2007. Hardcover. Zustand: new. Hardcover. Human thought is undergoing a fundamental transformation as technology simultaneously rewires our biological neural networks, cultural thinking patterns, and technological cognitive extensions. This "Three Streams" disruption represents both humanity's greatest challenge and an unprecedented opportunity. Drawing on more than a decade of interdisciplinary research spanning fields as diverse as neuroscience, sociology, economics, archaeology, and technology development, Patrick Scannell reveals how accelerating change across all three cognitive dimensions is the root cause of modern crisesfrom political polarization to institutional failure. Yet, it also unlocks possible conscious cognitive evolution. This book argues that rather than accepting technological determinism, we can deliberately architect enhanced human thinking capacity and collective problem-solving.A fascinating synthesis of theories for how we think, probing their limitations, and arguing for a radically extended version of cognition. Scannell's thought-provoking analysis makes a compelling case that how we think is changing right nowand we're not prepared for it. Mark Humphries, Chair in Computational Neuroscience, University of Nottingham"[.]For anyone working in AI or advanced technology (or who uses it, or affected by it), The Disruption of Thought isnt just a mirror; its a much-needed mapone that shows where were headed, and how to build systems that keep humanity in the loop. Darren Culbreath, AI leaderIn a world of fear and noise, truth is losing ground. [The] Disruption of Thought shows how technology has hacked our brainsshort-circuiting instincts, creating false belonging, and moving faster than we can adapt. Pat Scannell takes us on a gripping journey through the cracks in our cognition, sparking side quests and insights that stay with you. I couldnt read it fast enoughor slow enoughand I know Ill return to it often.
