Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Mynderd Vosloo (illustrator). 1st Edition. No date but produced to commemorate Paarl's 300th anniversary in 1987. Maroon cloth with silver gilt titling. No. 14 of the de luxe edition of 300. Contributions from nine authors all with connections to Paarl. There is a portrait of each of the authors which has been signed by them individually. This is especially notable in the case of Karel Schoeman [see image] who probably signed under sufferance and whose signature is very rarely found appended to any of his works. [Subsequent information given out by the book's illustrator is that Schoeman's was the only signature produced by means of a stamp]. 116pp illus. and with brown typefaces. No prev ownership markings or o/w. The contents are in Afrikaans. Scarce publication. Signed by Author(s).
