Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 2nd Edition. A very nice copy of the second impression (1962, limited to 500 copies) of the possibly legendary 15th century monk Basilius Valentinus' core text around alchemy and early pharmacology. Translated by renowned British mystic and occult author Arthur E Waite. This is a really nice copy. Pages have no inscriptions, no labels or stickers, no notes, and no foxing. Maybe the slightest of general age colouring but very negligible, likewise a few fox spots on external top edge block only. Binding totally tight. Boards are square and robust, a little superficial whitening to top front board. Dust jacket while clipped still retains the original price on inner flap (£3 10s). Jacket has been laminated so is very clean and complete, just minor creases here and there. A really nice copy. See photos, all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos.
