Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: n/a. VERY Good, No dust jacket as published. No marks in text. Binding is tight and square. 252 pages : diagrams, map ; 22 cm. . . . . *God is Alive* is a religious book published in 1970, with its origins connected to the broader Restoration movement, particularly among Latter Day Saint (LDS) and RLDS (Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) circles. The work reflects Walton's theological views and his developing differences with mainstream RLDS doctrine during that period. It was self-published in 1970. Walton was a member of the RLDS church before publishing this book. He would later go on to found his own religious group, following a series of revelations that he claimed in the late 1970s. The book is an expression of Walton's religious convictions regarding the nature of God and challenges what he saw as liberal trends and doctrinal changes in the RLDS church at the time. The book is of particular interest to collectors and researchers of Latter Day Saint movements and Restorationist literature. Because it was self-published and circulated primarily among Restorationist communities, God is Alive is somewhat rare in the used book market and typically appears in specialized religious or Mormon/LDS collections. This book is particularly noteworthy as a reflection of religious dissent and schism within the RLDS community in the 1970s, preceding Walton's leadership of his own branch of the Restorationist tradition.
