Stapled Soft Cover. Zustand: Fine copy. First Edition. The wrappers are quite clean with some fading due to the paper used. Internally bright and clean. The price of 75c on the front wrap has been covered with a $1.00 printed sticker, whether put on by the publisher of a dealer is anybody's guess, but it quite clean and professionally done. The 1962 edition of this centennial edition has become quite scarce, with the 2011 edition seen most often. The author has written this using newspaper articles written at the time of the uprising. From the introduction: " In the centennial year of the Sioux Uprising, also the one hundredth birthday o f Redwood county, where all the lower bands lived, The Redwood Gazette at Redwood Falls printed a duel commemorative addition in seven issues. Authored by Wayne Webb, the issues are in modern journalistic style, written in present tense as if he had gathered the material on the scene, bringing a sense of immediacy to the events. This booklet is a reprint of the second of those issues, centering on the uprising itself." This is an exceptional copy and a nice addition to anyone collecting on the 1862 uprising.
