Porträt- und Industriefotograf W. Connell (1898-1961) brachte sich das Fotografieren selbst bei und eröffnete später ein Studio in der Innenstadt von Los Angeles. In den späten 1920er Jahren arbeitete er für verschiedene Zeitschriften (Life, Sunset, Time, US Camera u. Vogue). In den frühen 1930er Jahren arbeitete Connell hauptsächlich als Glamour- und Werbefotograf für verschiedene Filmstudios, darunter Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer und Republic Studios. Während dieser Zeit fotografierte er auch häufig Landschaften in der Umgebung von Los Angeles. Connell war ein enger Freund des Architekten Lloyd Wright, dem Sohn von Frank Lloyd Wright und dokumentierte einen Großteil von dessen Arbeit. Nach dem Krieg arbeitete er als Industrie-Fotograf. - Deckel berieben, gebräunt und zum Teil aus der Metallring-Heftung gelöst, ohne den Schuber, innen gut erhalten. Sprache: englisch.
