Reviews his life growing up before WWII; being sent to Bukovina at age 14 for better economic opportunities; being drafted into the Romanian army in the early 1930s; his marriage during WWII, and the loss of his mother, siblings and wife at Auschwitz; his second marriage in 1946 to a young girl half his age; his emigration to Israel as Soviet influence in Romania increased; adjusting to life in Israel in a tent-city refugee camp until it was destroyed by flood; his abandonment of his family in Israel as he went to Austria to sneak into a refugee camp for Hungarian refugees, and gain passage to America, instead being sent back to Israel; starting his own furrier business, where at a birthday party, meets his first wife presumed dead at Auschwitz; and his eventual immigration to the United States. 6½ x 9¾ inches, 175 pages. In very good condition, with some curling to the front cover. Inscription on title page reads: "Don't rush to judge.Schinnar Rita April 2017." This author was the subject's grown, married daughter. At the time this was posted (25 Sep 2025), this was the only copy available in the U.S. through ABE Books. Inscribed by Author(s).

(photographs, ads, graphics) The main feature of this issue, which contains mostly trade stuff of interest to the Guild's members (film and TV writers), is a 5-page piece on Richard Brooks, the 1990 recipient of the Lifetime Achivement Award presented jointly by the WGAs and the Directors Guild of America; two of the five pages contain an interview with Brooks. The other lengthy article in this issue is "Structure's Golden Decade: A Chat with Syd Field," one of the earliest and most successful teachers of screenwriting.
