Issued in 'Philips' Companion Maps for Tourists and Travellers' series, this map shows the Ottoman Empire from the coasts of Asia Minor and the Black Sea to the western shores of the Caspian Sea, the northwest coast of the Persian Gulf and the Nile delta.

A useful map of Africa, divided into three sheets, on a scale of 500 miles to approx. 73mm. Also featured are Madagascar, the Comoro Islands, the Canary Islands, Crete and Cyprus. The Arabian peninsula appears in the North-East sheet, with Mecca and Medina shown, and an inset of the island of Socotra.
