Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book describes the first European settlement in New Zealand, with a specific focus on the initial missionary settlement established in the Bay of Islands during the 1800s. The book is a travelogue describing the natural beauty of this distant land, as well as the various native animals, plants, and peoples that the author encounters in his expedition. The author himself was one of the first missionaries to settle in this part of the world and much of the book is devoted to his personal experiences and observations of the area. Although written over 100 years ago, this book provides an up-close look into a land and culture largely unaffected by European presence, and serves as an invaluable historical document detailing the settlement of New Zealand by Europeans. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
