Soft cover. Zustand: Fine. Damon Willis, Arthur Suydam (illustrator). The parasitic Aliens have finally been annihilated on Earth, but oddly enough there are those who would like to have them back. The queen jelly from one of the Aliens is the essential ingredient in a superspeed and endurance drug called XenoZip, created exclusively by a company called NeoPharm. When the Aliens are gone, NeoPharm creates synthetic substitutes which drives some users berserk, to the point of going on killing sprees, or running into - and through - brick walls. The U.S. Armed Forces loves the side effects, but other customers are not as pleased. The profitoriented, unscrupulous president of NeoPharm, Daniel Grant, sponsors a trip to the Aliens planet to bring back a queen mother - only to find the Aliens engaged in a genocidal war amongst themselves. Also features: Macabre Arthur Suydam cover art; Issue #4 has an awesome Arthur Suydam Aliens wrap-a-round cover. (see the 10th scan); Issue #4 contains a 2 page pin-up poster of the wrap-a-round cover art w/ out the title text. Comics lot contains: Aliens: Genocide (1991-1992) Issues #1-4. Digest. Zustand: Good+. Powell, Turner, and Ernst (illustrator). First Edition, 1st Printing. A nice copy of the Winter 1950 issue of the British science fiction magazine Science-Fantasy. This issue was the the second and last publication under the editorship of Walter Gillings. Science-Fantasy was published during the 1950s to accompany New Worlds magazine. In the late 1940s, Gillings had produced three volumes of his first science fiction venture "Fantasy" before it failed. As a result, he was left with a substantial amount of stories purchased with the intention of publication. In 1950, Nova brought on Gillings as its editor of their new magazine, Science-Fantasy. With him came the inventory of stories from "Fantasy." After only two issues (Summer and Winter 1950) Gillings was replaced by New Worlds editor John Carnell. This copy is in remarkable condition for its age and scarcity. Cover's have some light wear and the staples have corroded over time leaving its stain on the inner margins. A soft vertical crease permeates most of the 96 numbered pages paginated [i: inner cover advertisements], [1], 2-96, [97: inner back cover advertisement for the Fantasy Book Centre]. Binding is solid with no loose pages. Pages are clean and unmarked. A good+ copy that beats many seen recently come to market.

Alongside contemporaries such as Carl Andre and Donald Judd, Robert Ryman''s radical painting has fundamentally shifted the definitions and boundaries of art. Spanning four decades, this book charts the gradual evolution of consensus about the meaning of his painting. The most significant essays and exhibition reviews have been collated into one volume, including texts written by some of the most influential art historians and critics. . Some essays appear here in English for the first time. With an introductory essay by Vittorio Colaizzi." -- publisher''s statement. Softcover. Zustand: Good+. First Edition Thus. First edition thus, trade paperback, has a slight skew to the binding, reading creases starting to the spine and front hinge, rubbing with light edge wear and a few faint spots to the covers, sunning to the spine, some mild soiling and smudging to the edges of the text block, and small pencil dashes, checks, and brackets to the margins, particularly in the first half of the text. Otherwise, this is a solid, tight, Good+ copy.

The plans, dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries, offer a unique glimpse into the city's development over time. The descriptions, written by Cambridge University's late Registrary J. W. Clark, provide detailed analysis of the plans, highlighting changes to the city's landscape, architecture, and street layout. Of particular interest is the central sheet of John Hamond's 1592 plan, which provides a detailed view of the city center. The plans and descriptions in this book are invaluable resources for historians, urban planners, and anyone interested in the history and development of Cambridge. They offer a fascinating insight into the city's past and its transformation from a small medieval town to a major center of learning and culture. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
