Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Set of two volumes, complete. Hardcover. Blue cloth -- this discerning eye would call it turquoise -- with lovely gold decoration on the front covers. Some darkening to spine with shelf wear at the head and foot of the spine. No date on title page. Copyright page dated 1895. 355 pages across both volumes, with illustrations from photographs and rare prints throughout. Each volume has a nice frontispiece -- Maude Adams as Juliet in the first, Fanny Davenport as Cleopatra in the second. Interiors unmarked. A very good copy overall. This volume comes from a small, careful collection of decorative and signed bindings. Please inquire to see the full list.…
