Hardcover. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 406 pages. This is the second revised edition of this work with additions and two new appendices. Second revised edition. A very good copy in a very good dust jacket. Dust jacket with edge and corner wear and small edge tears.
Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. A fine copy, in a near fine dust jacket, of the Readers Union edition. The black cloth binding is clean and unworn with strong silver lettering to the spine. Everything is square and tight, with sharp unbumped edges and corners. Inside there are no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. The dust jacket is unclipped (no flap price), and is fully intact with only very minor edgewear, although the moustache on Churchill's photo has been 'enhanced' with a red ballpoint. It is now protected in a removable mylar cover. Richard Langworth, in "A Connoisseur's Guide to the Books of Winston S. Churchill" points out that 'sometimes thought to be an extracted work like "Frontiers and Wars", this book presents entirely new material and marks Churchill's posthumous return to the ranks of current authors, which continues to the present day. [This book] comprises Churchill's original dispatches as a war correspondent covering the same three military campaigns as his first four war books: the Northwest Frontier of India, the Sudan and South Africa.

Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine. 1st Edition. A fine copy, in a fine dust jacket of the first US edition, first and only printing. The binding of olive cloth is clean and unworn with strong gilt and black lettering to the spine. Everything is square and tight, with sharp unbumped edges and corners. Inside there are no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. The dust jacket is unclipped ($8.95), and is fully intact with no appreciable edgewear. It is now protected in a removable mylar cover. From the jacket blurb: "Churchill's brilliant and fluid writing, infused with immediacy and the genuine excitement of a soldier at the front, earned him a place beside the most famous correspondents of the era. But he never forgot his political ambitions. Time and again he intruded on his own reports with comments which went far beyond the normal scope of war correspondence".
