Owen and Wright were in rather heated negotiationS for the British rights for LA FOLIE EN TETE, the follow-up to LA BATARDE which Owen published in English. In Owen's carbons ( and a note stapled to one of them in type and handwritten) he is unhappy about the strong arm tactics being used to get this volume published, including a possible poaching by another publisher. Leduc's earlier novel was a sensational fictionalized account of her lesbian love affairs.…
