The author develops all the rules of differential and integral calculus from elementary notions of geometry, providing a systematic and rational approach that eliminates obscurity and the need for prior knowledge of infinitesimals, limits, or higher algebra. The book begins with a discussion of the motion of a point and a straight line in a plane, establishing the concept of velocity and the relationship between the velocity of a moving point and its projection onto two axes. It then introduces the concept of the curve as the trace of a point moving along a moving straight line, which serves as the basis for defining the tangent and the radius of curvature at a given point on the curve. These concepts are further developed to define and measure angular velocities, leading to a unified treatment of linear and angular motion. Overall, this book offers a rigorous and accessible foundation for understanding the principles of differential calculus, making it a valuable resource for students and researchers in mathematics and related fields.
