I did not remove the shrink wrap, so am unsure of the exact edition, and number of pages. I believe it is the 2003 printing, judging by an original price…sticker affixed on the rear cover, outside of the shrink wrap, and research into various printings and formats. Wonderful local New Mexican folklore of the Rio Puerco, a group of small settlements northwest of Albuquerque, now mostly abandoned. Written in both Spanish and English, with photographs and index. Noted folklorist Garcia began his research with his grandparents, and armed with a tape recorder proceeded to interview many other lifelong Rio Puerco residents, for these first hand accounts of life in the valley, and the stories, letters, ballads, dichos, adivinanzas and songs of the valley elders. 187 pp. Southwest, Folklore, New Mexico, Rio Puerco, Bilingual.
