Profusely illustrated with CPR photographs, this lovely book on garden making is a classic and outstanding in its field. Edna Walling dominated the story of Gardens for a long time. The'English'village she constructed in Mooroolbark in Victoria what's a village in which the principles of environmental harmony were almost unequalled in Australia. This copy, slight discolouration on the bottom right hand corner of the front cover and some watermark on the first few pages and the last few pages but perfectly readable with no dog ears or scribble and nice clear plates.

A very good copy indeed. Edna Walling one of Australia's great landscape designers influenced thousands of gardeners. But her books are hard to find today, and a few f the gardens that she planted still reflect completely the intentions of their creator. This charming book has been chosen from the material in her first three volumes, Gardens in Australia (1943), Cottage and Garden (1947) and A Gardener's Log (1948), and it is illustrated with many of her unusual photographs. 144pp.
