As the plane approached Jose Marti Airport, he had the pilot radio the tower with the message "Tell Fidel, El Rojo is coming". His motives remained unclear---was he, a Green Beret, a CIA operative on a covert mission? Did a previous head injury cause the intensely patriotic Special Forces agent to become delusional? How, after a 15-minute deliberation, did the jury find at his trial?
