Paperback. Zustand: Good. Life here has its moments and it can be depressing at times. When you let your mind wander back in time recalling what was and then let it return to the present, facing what is, you can get that empty feeling in the pit of your gut. While yesterdays had their ups and downs you had so much living left to do and so much to look forward to. Suddenly (or so it seems) your time is about to run out and you are facing the uncertainty of leaving it all behind. You cannot know for sure exactly what lies beyond the grave because no one you knew has ever returned to tell you. George Woodruff As a member of The Greatest Generation, George has served in two wars in two different branches of service; U. S. Navy in World War I and U.S. Army in the Korean War. During this time, he was in and out of military hospitals finally medically discharged in 1950. George has been hospitalized in eight different VA Medical Centers over 26 times during the past 70 years. He is a diabetic, suffers from hypertension, has a non-malignant brain tumor, a complex partial seizure disorder, a prosthetic left eye, serious renal failure, severe stenosis in his lower back, and neuropathy in both legs and feet. He is 100% disabled and current method of transportation is a power wheelchair. In May 2014, George became a resident of the Trinka Davis Veteran's Community Center in Carrollton GA.
