A beautiful copy in trivially rubbed slipcase. Randall employs 21 typefaces using between 3 and 10 sizes per face, to create this specimen book in which he presents the faces using published selections that are printed in incrementally smaller type. Faces include: Baskerville, Bodoni, Caslon, Centaur, Garamond, Perpetua, Times Roman, and more. Illustrations throughout by Gwenda Morgan, Eric Gill, Robert Gibbings, Edward Ardizzone, and others.

The broadsides include items from the Press's collection of handmade papers acquired from the Oxford University Press, and four items assembled by Erik Voss. They include marbled paper samples for the Press of Colleen Gryspeerdt a hand-colored illustration by Carmen Voss, a signed Miriam Macgregor wood-engraving, and three blocks designed for Richard Kennedy's A Boy a the Hogarth Press, which are printed here for the first time.
