Very nice although foxed, spotted & soiled pale beige cloth and dull orange spine title make for a pretty boring exterior, this rare title is all there, well b…ound, but not pretty. Recommended reading copy with some wear to the cloth near the gutters, top edge of page block dyed dk brown, other two sides lightly foxed/soiled. 272pp text has no writing or tears, just occasional foxing on the front endpps through first page. M. J. Farrell, the pen name of Molly Keane writes a period sporting novel set in Ireland full of horses, hunting, jumping, headlong love. Laughing, reckless, beautiful and damned! No heroine since Irish March has ever been so wicked - and so engaging - as Mary. Here is a hot-head tale of love and hunting told with a zest and partisanship that is disarming. The love story is even more breathless than the hunting. Mary, coming to Ireland fora week, sows trouble right and left. Roguey marries her; Jer loves her; Rowland wrecks his future for her/ Maeve's life is broken by her. But Mary reaps trouble also. She has married Roguey for convenience, but she loves Rowland.
