Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Edition. HARDBACK - A very good book that has been warmly inscribed by the author to her sister Gwen to the front end-paper in year of publication. The Inscription reads GWEN / WITH LOVE FROM RAY / RICHMAL CROMPTON. There is a date to the bottom of the same page of Dec.1968 which we also think is in the author's hand. Clean green publisher's cloth boards with bright gilt lettering to the front panel and to the spine with absolutely no fading present. Internally, the pages are clean, but there is some foxing to the page block. The dust wrapper is also in very good condition with shallow chipping to the spine tip. Lightly toned to the spine, with toning to the rear panel, also to the front and rear flaps. No other loss or tears, with the publisher's printed price of 10/6 present to the front flap. Very scarce to find either signed or inscribed by the author, as Richmal Crompton died soon after the publication of this title. Full provenance of the author's family history regarding this book will be given to the new custodion of this title. Signed by Author(s).
