Cloth. Zustand: Very Good+. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 232pp/illus. Described by the Allied forces during World War II as the most dangerous man in Europe, the German maverick soldier Otto Skorzeny was the creator of many of the tactics later employed by the SAS. This account tells how he became world famous overnight when, with a glider borne attack he rescued Mussolini from the mountain prison of Gran Sasso. It also recounts his infiltration of American forces during the Battle of the Bulge.

Manuskript / Papierantiquität
Handbill. 8.5x11 inch sheet mimeographed both sides; the front has a jack-o-lantern, the other side lists candidates for statewide office as well as for Long Beach area races. The mimeo fluid ran a bit on this side, resulting in a series of inky spots, though text is still legible. Candidates include Elizabeth Martinez for Governor, Milton Takei for Secretary of State, Florence McDonald (mother of Country Joe McDonald) for Controller, civil rights attorney Dan Siegel for Attorney General, Kevin Akin for Treasurer, and others. Concludes with a paragraph arguing that Democrats are as bad as Republicans on many issues; "By voting for Peace and Freedom candidates you are sending Reagan and the Democrats a message they cannot ignore: that the people want peace and social justice and that our needs must not be ignored.".
In this obscure anti-miscegenation book, an interracial trio of military friends named Red, Black and White read a memo by a murdered black pastor that exposes a conspiracy by a shadowy group called the Sanhedrin (a thinly veiled Communist Party USA) to eliminate the black race through miscegenation. Each chapter describes the inner workings of the group and the exhortations of their fanatical leader who shocks the black candidates for membership with his support for, among other things, lynchings ("Every time a lynching occurs, it benefits our cause, therefore the Sanhedrin's program doesn't seek to stop lynchings. It condones -- even welcomes -- them" (p. 62), "the use of contraceptives to prevent more black babies, artificial insemination of colored women with semen from healthy white males, sterilization of certain black people, encouraging sex promiscuity by mutual consent between the races, especially among school children, working to bring about mixed schools, etc." (p. 66). The book concludes with the trio's resolve to expose the Sanhedrin and thereby preserve the racial purity of each race. In his foreword, the author describes writing a draft of the book in 1950 after reading an article in a black newspaper that quoted an "important member of that [Negro] race" stating that blacks wouldn't be satisfied until they were admitted into white bedrooms. He provides further evidence of this sentiment in Jet magazine and puzzles over the black race's desire to become an "integrated part of the white race." We're unsure if Will Bryan was a pseudonym, but we could find nothing conclusive about the author or the publishing house. Trade paperback format, 91 pp., illustrations. Slight rubbing to covers, else a near fine copy. Three physical copies in WorldCat.
