She has the unique destinction of being the only Australian destroyer to have…been deployed on active service to two major conflicts in the second half of the 20th century. She was assigned for active service in the Vietnam War in 1939 and 1941 and was the only Australian destroyer sent to the Persian Gulf during the 1990/91 Gulf Crisis and Gulf War.
