Thus, swaption pricing is a hot topic in financial mathematics. In this thesis, we will analyze swaptions whose short term interest rates are assumed to follow some affine models with dim…ension of factors more than two, so called multiple-factor interest rate models. Considering there is no analytical solution for such a swaption price , we attempt to approximate it, and our discussion will focus on one of these approximation method proposed by Collin-Dufresne and Goldstein. We will discuss the situations where the underlying interest rate models are Gaussian and CIR2++ respectively and develop this method by providing an accurate measure of approximation errors. Besides, other swaption pricing methods in literatures that provide different insights into swaption other than CDG approximation are discussed, as well as analytical solutions under one-factor interest rate models if exist.

Geometry and infrared spectra of the metal complexes, Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) were calculated with B3LYP method using 6-31G, 3-21G(d), 6-31G(d), 3-21G(d), and 3-21G(d) basis set, respectively, and compared with their experimental data. The electronic spectra of the ligand and metal complexes were also performed with ZINDO method. The geometry of the metal complexes were predicted and the ligand were characterized as tridentate and monobasic potential ligand for the metals in their octahedral structure. The electronic spectral calculation of the metal complexes were clearly indicative of a coordination of six in which the number of ligands, IDIPA, coordinated to the metal vary for the first two metal complexes, Mn(II), Fe(III) 72 pp. Englisch.

Reykjanes, Svarstengi and Nesjavellir geothermal fields are located in southwest Iceland. These are…high temperature geothermal systems with temperatures >240°C. Speciation calculations indicate that in Olkaria CO2 partial pressures range between 0.5 bar and 5 bar except in the Olkaria West sector with >90 bars, but lower at Reykjanes, Svartsengi and Nesjavellir. High CO2 partial pressures cause CO2 rich waters to develop when CO2 in steam encounters shallower ground waters. Thermodynamic calculations of HCl content using pH, chloride, and aquifer temperature indicate high content of HCl in the aquifer water of Reykjanes and Svartsengi, but lower at Olkaria and Nesjavellir. Scales formed during tests at Nesjavellir at wells NJ-14 and NJ-22 wellheads consisted mainly of sulphides and mixed sulphides and oxides. In separated water after the heat exchangers, entry to retention tank and at injection well scales consisted mainly of amorphous silica. The highest deposition was at entry to the retention tank. However, they traditionally lack a measure of reliability. This book uses multilevel B…ayesian regression modeling for mixing prior knowledge with experimental observations in order to develop deterioration modeling with the ability to quantify uncertainty. It explicitly considers materials properties, structural capacity (or strength), external loading and environmental exposure by adapting classical mechanistic models. Two network level case studies illustrate the applicability of the method and deal with some of the practical limitations: (1) a novel method develops performance modeling from two time series data, using the concept of apparent age, (2) another model uses pavement roughness and strength to address practical limitations such as missing data, incorporating expert criteria and handling predictors from different data structures. The methods presented can help local, regional or national authorities to develop initial, practical or more advanced models for pavement deterioration, capable of capturing uncertainty. 116 pp. Englisch.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate association between bone loss & Periotest values. Also we evaluated effects of attachment loss & tooth position on Periotest values. Patients were divided into two groups healthy & those suffering from periodontitis. With the help of Periotest, Florida probe & radiographs the assessment was carried out. The data was statistically analyzed using Student s unpaired t-test. The study showed that tooth mobility is dependent on bone support as well as clinical attachment level. It also indicated that anterior teeth showed higher Periotest values compared to posterior teeth & mandibular teeth showed higher Periotest values compared to maxillary teeth. The analysis would help physicians shed some light on toxicity and its causes, and would be useful in determining the effect of drug regimen and development of new regimens, or anyone else who may be study on drug toxicity.
