Hardback. Zustand: Good. This book narrates the peripeteia of the young president and his mentor. It depicted the journey of a Buddhist monk who had been a spiritual advisor to a young pop music singer. When she announced her desire to enter the race for the presidential election of the United States, he supported her and used his knowledge to bring her into the White House. Unfortunately, the mentor and his mentee parted ways during her administration of the country following an altercation between a staff member of the White House. The spiritual guru left the United States and led a peripatetic lifestyle before settling in Greenland with the Inuit population. He converted these people to Buddhism and imposed a vegetarian lifestyle while they had been living on meat for generations. The Eskimos suddenly died of malnutrition leaving the guru devastated. He contemplated suicide when the spirit of God spoke to an Iowa pastor to bring him back home. Once back, the young president sent him to Oral Robert University in Tulsa to study Christianity and become a pastor. He later returned to the White House and served as an advisor to the young president. The book closes the debate about Hell and clarifies why Jesus did not and could never go to Hell. It explains why a frantic arms race of nations and excessive war are the primary causes of the world's unrest. The book is also about the hypocrisy of the political class that struggles to connect the dots between the past deeds of their ancestors and the present moment. They want a big military and a sophisticated highway system but are reluctant to pay for them, hence the title Have It Both Ways. White, Jesse (illustrator).…

And when he feels something, he really feels it. Each story is an entertaining, character-driven caper based on relatable social/emotional themes, delivered with surprise twists, high drama, and expert comic timing. Along the way, lessons are learned about qualities such as teamwork and compassion. The emphasis is on character growth and development through creative problem-solving. Hardback. Zustand: Good. A New York Times Best Board Book for Babies A Bank Street College of Education Best Board Book The perfect gift for newborn babies! A fold-out, high-contrast board book designed to support baby's development during tummy time. This engaging board book introduces new vocabulary and encourages parents to read playfully with intonation, trumpeting loudly like an elephant or wagging the puppy's tail excitedly. It combines bold black-and-white patterns with first words and baby-friendly images to stimulate visual development and early language skills. This book will keep babies' brains busy, while their muscles are hard at work. The high-contrast images on one side are mesmerizing because, although young babies' vision is blurry, they can see bold patterns with sharp light-dark contrast and saturated color. Babies are also hard-wired to recognize faces, so there are baby photos on the other side to delight your baby, and an embedded mirror--because babies love looking at themselves! The book can be spread out in front of them, or read like a book so you can enjoy reading time together. Key Features: Developmental Focus: Encourages visual tracking, neck and core strength, and early word recognition. Interactive Format: Accordion-style fold-out design stands upright for hands-free tummy time play. Bonding Moments: Promotes caregiver-baby interaction through shared reading and mirrored play. First Words Fun: Introduces foundational vocabulary in a format babies love to explore. Whether used during tummy time or lap time, Tummy Time! offers a joyful, developmentally rich experience for babies and their grown-ups. Tummy Time! is part of the award-winning Tummy Time! series, named Best Board Books by Bank Street College of Education. The Tummy Time! Books: Playtime! Reading Time! Tummy Time.…

Hardback. Zustand: Good. A hilariously honest and heartwarming story about anxiety, self-doubt, and the power of positive thinking, The Worried Book shows young readers that it's OK to worry--what matters is how we respond. The Worried Book is having a bit of a meltdown. "Hi, I can't wait for you to read me. You are going to read me, right? Wait--what if you don't like me? What if nobody likes me?!" Meet the most anxious book on the shelf--a nervous narrator who worries about everything that could possibly go wrong. But as the pages turn, this worried book discovers something important: everyone feels anxious sometimes, and the key isn't to make the worries disappear--it's learning what to do with them. With warmth, humor, and a gentle touch, The Worried Book invites young readers to acknowledge their "what-if" thoughts and imagine what could go right instead of wrong. A reassuring read for little worriers and the grownups who love them, this story is perfect for classrooms, bedtime, or anytime kids need a comforting perspective. Munro, James (illustrator).…

Gustav is a goofy, optimistic and naively enthusiastic pig. Henri is a grounded, pragmatic and quietly skeptical dog. They are drawn to each other as they are to the weird and ridiculous. Which is a lot! Whether it's venturing into space to find a lost shuttlecock, or shrinking to the size of microbes to fight a cold, Gustav and Henri are always up for a madcap adventure, just as long as they have each other. Hardback. Zustand: Very Good. A Bank Street College of Education Best Book of the Year.An important message of unity delivered in the form of an engaging timeless fable. Told with charming humor and large fold-out pages, The Most Important Thing introduces the concept of accepting differences to the youngest of readers. The animals of the forest have assembled to discuss what is the most important thing: is it to have a trunk like an elephant, quills like a porcupine, or a long neck like a giraffe? Naturally, every animal is convinced that its particular trait is the most important one and that everyone should have it. But when the large gatefold pages open they show all the animals with the quills of a porcupine, the long neck of a giraffe, or the trunk of the elephant, and everyone sees that it cannot possibly be right. At last, the wise owl speaks up and helps them understand that the true value lies precisely in their collective 'diversity? It is that which makes them all unique and essential to harmonious life in the forest. The Most Important Thing received a UNESCO honorable mention for peace and collaboration. This book is printed on heavy paper stock with rounded corners for durability.…

The Shy Book is a tender, empowering story that helps children find courage in their quiet moments and reminds them that even the softest voice has something important to say. A Junior Library Guild Gold Selection! This book wants to be read--truly, it does--but there's just one problem: It's feeling a little shy. It worries the reader might think it's silly . . . or worse, boring. So it suggests putting it back on the shelf--surely, there must be a better book out there. But what if the reader doesn't give up? In The Shy Book, the story gently unfolds as the book finds the courage to speak, showing young readers that even when we feel uncertain or afraid, our voices still matter.
