Notes of a Book-lover, with an account of the Grolier Club, New York. illustrated throughout with photos of rare bindings. This copy was owned by Max Boehn writer of works on Fashion and Design, Theatre Costume etc. the personalised bookplate in colour with an art-nouveau style possibly by William Nicholson, pasted in to inner front board. The buckram has a textile feel, with heavy gilt titles on the cover and spine, some light wear to cover and head of spine, back board has a stain of a liquid type to the edge of the back cover, slightly affecting the inside of the board also. The contents on glossy art paper is very good and uncut edges give this a heavy quality feel. Bestandsnummer des Verk�ufers 00377

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
