Humorous poster celebrating the retirement of prominent Texas librarian and bibliophile, Decherd Turner (1922-2002). Turner served as director of the Bridwell Library at SMU in Dallas from 1950-1980 and then the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at UT in Austin until his retirement on June 1st, 1988. Quite finely printed by Tom Taylor of Austin, likely in a very limited quantity. Large Broadside, 66x36cm. Beige, laid paper printed in black and read.
