Small woodcut in two colour, black and amber signed in margin lower right in pencil, possibly a biblical scene? Measures approx 5 x 4 inches (12.5 x 10 cm). The image is tipped onto original soft card and printed on India or proof paper, it also has a deep and open mount surround, image can be viewed as the mount is not closed. *This artist born in 1909 and died in 2001. her father was botanist Redcliffe N Salaman. She exhibited at the Royal Academy, she studied at The Slade School in London 1927-30. Worked with other female artists in the East London and Women's International Art Club, She exhibited at the Leicester Gallery in London.
