A single copper engraved "Proof?" etching for the work by Thomas Landseer "Monkeyana", the design is a variant of the 1827 title page that is found on the published work, no mention of Henry Alken, publishers address on a scroll along the base states "6 Pall Mall" and the artist and publishers withing the design obscured and a 2nd Monkey blowing a bubble pipe is added to this version unlike other copies, date also unfinished and could read 1826?, there are no details of place and publisher along the base as in the published work either, 4 good plate marks surround the etching and printed on cartridge paper.
