Johann Alexander Boner (or Boener, Bonner or Pomer) [1647-1720]. TWO copper engraving of ships and a naval battle. Variant sizes, 17 x 13 cm & 15.5 x 12.5 cm. Nice clear images. Both trimmed close. On lined wove paper. Lovely quality. Date to c1690-1710. *This artist and art dealer lived and worked in Nuremburg. He was the first to develop a factory for the production of engravings. Probably better known for City and Landscape scenes with costume engravings also. These two are a little more unusual & would frame and hang well as 300+ year old engravings (2). We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
