Beschreibung
A very clever and attractive "Silhouette" Scissor Picture of a nursery rhyme scene of Bo-Peep or maiden shepherdess and a "Prince Charming" presenting her with a rose. The image has been mostly stuck down on white album paper of the mid-late 19th century which helps date the image to the same period, some small end of grass stalks and ribbon thin cutting, but minor and need to look to notice. Measures: approx 18 x 20 cm, image slightly smaller. NOTE* These scissor pictures were popular from about 1790-1840, mostly of profile images of the famous and good, this may be from the same period, or as we have assessed as later c1850-1900.
