Photograph Postcard size 14 x 9 cm; slip 13 x 9 cm. Luckner 91881-1966) was German war hero famous for his naval exploits WWI. IN the 1930s Luckner lived in Halle and travelled extensively, including visiting New Zealand and Australia. Hitler tried to exploit him in WWII, but in the end he was not in favour.
