Thomas McGreevy (1893-1967), an Irish poet and critic, had a professional and personal relationship with American-English poet T.S. Eliot. They first met in Paris in 1920 and maintained a long-lasting correspondence over two decades. McGreevy played a key role in introducing Eliot s writings to Irish audiences and was influential in promoting Eliot's "The Waste Land" in Ireland.
