Confluences comptera 58 numéros jusqu?en 1947. La mention de nouvelle série était un stratagème imaginé par les directeurs pour faire croire à l?administration de Vichy que la revue paraissait avant-guerre. Each design exemplifies the modernist union of form and function, with metal employed as the defining material and an emphasis on streamlined, utilitarian construction. The portfolio offers a concise survey of avant-garde French decorative arts and the evolving language of machine-age design in the years around 1930. Condition: the twenty-four loose sheets are all in very good condition - no foxing or staining. The portfolio case shows some wear consistent with age. The top corner of the cover has worn down and the the cloth spine has been professionally repaired using archival methods.
