Très bon état . Le traitement numérique du signal est une des disciplines de l électronique moderne en progression vertigineuse. Ce sont précisément le développement et la commercialisation rapides de cette technologie qui constituent un sérieux défi pour l ingénieur de conception : il lui faut acquérir les bases mathématiques de cette nouvelle technique au risque d être rapidement dépassé. Dès lors, pour l ingénieur déjà en activité, l alternative est cruellement simple : retourner sur les bancs de l université ou consulter les documents techniques et scientifiques existants. Malheureusement, dans le cas du traitement numérique du signal, ni l une ni l autre de ces approches n est particulièrement efficace, surtout isolément. Au cours du premier cycle universtitaire, et même plus tard, l enseignement du TNS ne s effectue en France qu à travers un cours magistral de mathématiques consacré à l analyse complexe, où de nombreux sujets théoriques sont approfondis au détriment des tenants et aboutissants pratiques du TNS, lesquels ne sont donc pas réellement assimilés par l étudiant. Les documents des constructeurs (notes d application et guides de conception) pourraient éventuellement être utilisés à des fins didactiques, mais ces documents traitent presque exclusivement de caractéristiques particulières de tel processeur sans donner de vue d ensemble ni de base solide. L objet de ce livre est donc de fournir tous les éléments nécessaires à la compréhension de la théorie du traitement numérique du signal en établissant une passerelle entre théorie et pratique. Les mathématiques n y sont certes pas ignorées, de sorte qu en le feuilletant vous trouverez bien quelques équations plus ou moins complexes. Ce qui est soigneusement évité, en revanche, ce sont les preuves formelles, les discussions ésotériques et les fastidieux exercices mathématiques. À leur place, il y a des exemples et des démonstrations pratiques, en partie assistés sur ordinateur, conçus comme autant d aides à la compréhension des procédés du TNS. Ce livre a été écrit pour l ingénieur en activité mais chacun y touvera les informations qu il recherche ; les chefs de projet désireux de comprendre les concepts du TNS, apprécieront sa présentation simple et directe ; les étudiants en formation de TNS, découvriront tous les développements importants et essentiels et plus particulièrement une introduction claire et simple malgré la complexité du sujet. Quant aux étudiants déjà spécialisés, ce livre dissipera ce qu il leur reste d idées floues et erronnées. Les mathématiques restent aussi simples que possible. Les bases en trigonométrie et en calcul opérationnel sont établies en préliminaire afin d aborder la suite dans de bonnes conditions.
