The book is illustrated with 13 half-tone photos, including portraits of the author, Edward Whymper, Charles Wollaston, and Sir Edward Davidson. It is covered in blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. CONDITION. VG-. The pages are clean and tight, though there is a small brown stain on the fore edge. The corners and ends of the spine are lightly rubbed, and the spine is faded. No marks of ownership.

First edition. Illustrated with several double-page maps.
