Original cloth (lettered in gilt on the spine and front cover) expertly rebacked in matching cloth, retaining much of the original backstrip (including the gilt title); replacement endpapers; covers flecked with slight wear along the edges of the boards; edges and plates a little foxed; acidic paper tanned and brittle (as ever), with tears to eight leaves expertly sealed; nevertheless, a very good copy of a notoriously poor production.
