Other forms included coated almonds, decorative metallic balls, Dragees with gum drop centers, nougat centers, and many others. Grillon (b. 1865) was as an award-winning candy maker and foreman at a candy factory in New York who had immigrated from Beaugeney, France in 1907, and winner of the Culinary Exhibition Gold Medal in 1899 at Toulouse.
