"The scene of this exciting historical novel is Hawaii; the time is about 1850 and the background is thte sturggle among the British, French, and the United States governments to secure sovereignty over the islands. Although the historical background of the book is authentic, and there is not a great deal of material available with this background, the important part of the novel is its interesting plot and its fresh, believable romance. The hero is Jeremy Cartwright - personable, manly, and ambitious." - from dust-jacket blurb.…
