Louis Joseph Sanson, né le 24 janvier 1790 à Paris et mort le 1er août 1842 à Paris, est un chirurgien et ophtalmologue français, agrégé de la Faculté de médecine de Paris, membre de l'Académie de médecine, élève et successeur de Guillaume Dupuytren à l'Hôtel-Dieu de Paris. Pierre Adolphe Piorry est un médecin français né à Poitiers le 31 décembre 1794 et mort le 29 mai 1879. Il inventa la plessimétrie, une méthode d'exploration des organes internes utilisant la percussion.Louis-Mathurin Moreau-Christophe ou Louis-Mathurin Moreau, né en 1799 à Loches et décédé en 1883 à Paris, est un juriste ayant écrit de nombreux travaux sur les prisons et la législation pénale.

Zweite Ausgabe, bzw. erste Ausgabe unter dem Titel "Atlas de l'Art des Accouchments", die erste Ausgab…e war zwischen 1860 und 1865 unter dem Titel "Atlas complémentaires de tous traites d'accouchements" erschienen! 11 von den 105 feinen Tafeln zeigen chirurgische Instrumente der Gynäkologe. Adolphe Lenoir (1802-1860)," zu Paris, bekannter Chirurg, War am 6. August 1802 zu Meaux geboren, begann seine Studien im dortigen Hospital unter HOUZELOT, kam dann nach Paris, wurde 1831 Aide d'anatomie, 1833 Doctor mit der These: "Sur quelques points d'anatomie, de physiologie et de pathologie", in demselben Jahre Prosector und 1835 Prof. agrégé mit der These : "Quels sont les lieux et quels sont les cas où il convient d'amputer la jambe ? ". Seine anatomischen und akiurgischen Vorträge in der École pratique erfreuten sich grossen Beifalles; auch vertrat er wiederholt mit glänzendem Erfolge SANSON und J.CLOQUET in ihren Kliniken und war später Chirurg am Hôp. Necker. Von seinen Arbeiten sind anzuführen: Lettre au sujet des deux derniers ouvrages de MM. Er hatte ferner für die neue Ausgabe von X. BICHAT'S Anatomie descriptive (1834) ein : " Manuel des préparations anatomiques" verfasst, war Mitredacteur des Dict. des études médicales seit 1837, für welches er (1838,39) eine Anzahl von Artikeln schrieb, wie auch Zusätze zu ROCHE et SANSON, Nouv. Élém. de pathol. Méd.-chir. (5 voll., 1844). Ebenso rührt von ihm eine Reihe von Mitteilungen an die Soc. de chir. her, zu dessen Mitbegründern er gehörte. Er erlag längerem Leiden am 17. Juni 1860. - Lenoir war ein sehr geschickter Operateur und dabei ein sehr unterrichteter Chirurg, dem die Sicherheit des Handelns über den äusseren Schein ging und der sich nicht scheute, mit offenem Visir manchen zweifelhaften Verfahren seiner unternehmungslustigen Collegen entgegenzutreten." Adolphe Lenoir, né le 6 août 1802 à Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) et mort le 17 juin 1860 (à 57 ans) à Paris, est un médecin, professeur agrégé à la Faculté de médecine de Paris, chirurgien à l'Hôpital Necker . Dr. Lenoir, qui a remplacé Moreau dans le cours théorique des accouchements réservés aux sages-femmes, a écrit la première partie concernant l'étude du bassin féminin en bon état et en condition de maladie. Après sa mort, la seconde partie du travail (l'appareil reproducteur des femmes et le développement de l'uf humain) a été confiée à Marc Sée et, pour finir, Tarnier a traité les deux dernières parties du travail concernant le mécanisme de accouchement naturel et opérations obstétricales.
