Die Beiträge des Buches schlagen Brücken zwischen Gestalttherapie und Psychoanalyse unter historischen und aktuellen Perspektiven. Historisch betrachtet haben sich viele Formen der Psychotherapie aus der Psychoanalyse entwickelt - sei es in enger Verbindung mit ihr, sei es in deutlicher Abgrenzung. Das gilt in beiderlei Hinsicht sicherlich auch für die Gestalttherapie.
