Sixsmith Who Served in the Eighth Army in North Africa with Montgomery, the archive consists of items mostly dating to 1943, including a signed bank statement signed by Sixsmith from the Ottoman Bank, dated 31st Dec 1942, A Broadside from Montgomery announcing that the Eighth Army is going to take Tripoli, a Memorial dinner menu for Major O.B.S. Poole which has been signed by many of his friends, a number of handwritten pieces, one "Auld Lang Syne" translated into Greek, another small note on the Egyptians, a message sent in cypher, a collection of pieces of Newspaper extracts on events in the war, a few typed songs and odes, six wartime booklets, etc, all housed in an old card folder, with a couple of later bits added, the folder measures 13.75 inches by 10 inches approx.
