A book aimed at older children & as such the boards are a little bumped & stained & lacking the spine. Internally sound and the good quality illustrations undamaged. The ep's are yellowed & there is also occasional staining but generally VG. A Sunday School attendance sticker dated 1922 is on the front paste.

G (no dj, rather grubby white pictorial cloth with black titles and black/blue illustrations, ship on spine and naval officer on front board, front free endpaper is missing,browning to pre-title page and back free endpaper, back hinge a bit weak but paper not broken and contents remaining firm, few marks to outside page edges but the pages are clean and bright with just the occasional small mark in margins) 12mo 346pp. Colour frontispiece and 3 colour plates by Arch Webb. Naval adventure story of the first world war.

N.D. [c1920] 8vo, pp,346, coloured frontispiece and three further coloured plates, pictorial cream cloth, spine toned, early signature to the leading free endpaper, text age-toned with mild foxing, a decent copy not often found in good condition. Margerison [1887-1925] was a writer of naval fiction who ran away at age 14 to join the Royal Navy. He died in a motorcycle accident in 1925.

Part of the same picture, in colour, pasted to the endpapers (probably saved from the jacket). 189 Pages, 310g, 7 1/2" Tall. Slight edge wear. Previous owner's name at top of free endpaper. Pages slightly age darkened around margins. Rear hinge cracked & reinforced with white hinge tape. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Good blue cloth hardcover. No dj. 114p. Pages aged. Dedicated to the "Black Navy" and those who serve therein.
