The stories feature brothers Chip & Jack Power, their dog, Blaze, & photojournalist Dad, who solve mysteries as they travel during school vacations. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1964, this hardcover small 8vo (5.75" x 7.75") has glossy decorative paper over boards covered in a clear acetate (like other Whitman books for kids from this era), which is largely intact, but peeling in many places along spine. Pages are all heavily tanned & show dampstaining to edges, so condition is downgraded to Fair. No writing or markings. Binding is strong & straight, hinges secure, but both front & rear hinges are staring. Rubbing to both ends of spine & all corners. No DJ, as issued (these never had them).
