It begins with a single brief paragraph dismissing the Great Central Valley - "in it there are only two seasons, spring and summer. This strikingly beautiful edition reproduces the 1988 limited edition by Yolla Bolly Press, illustrated with 12 wood engravings by Michael McCurdy and with a foreword and notes by Frederick Turner.
