Édition originale française, traduction de Raymond Queneau ; exemplaire du service de presse (pas de grands papiers annoncés) de ce récit autobiographique d'une jeunesse passée dans l'île de grande Blasket (Great Blasket Island ou An Blascaod Mór), d'un grand intérêt pour l'étude de la langue et de la culture irlandaises. (On connaît l'attention portée par Queneau à ces sujets, comme en témoignent les œuvres de Sally Mara.)
